Fans, political, business and sports leaders and professionals and everyone who knew Mike Ilitch came out to say goodby to the man who was a hero to many in the city and the state.
Mike Ilitch died at the age of 87, leaving a great legacy in the area. He invested in two of Detroit’s beloved spots franchise, the Detroit Tigers and the Red Wings.
He was a remarkable man, treating his players and workers with passion and respect. They all mourn his death with broken hearts.
We present our condolences to the Ilitch family, and we keep them in our prayers.
