Bizmagazine is phase one of a larger and more important project, which is The American Middle East Media Institute. The magazine serves as a trainer ground for aspiring journalists in our community and a funding mechanism for the institute to sell ads and avoid asking for donations.

The institute aims at educating the community about mainstream media, providing necessary information about our community to non-Middle Eastern journalists and training youth and community members to positively influence the media and help change its unfair coverage and negative characterization of our community.

The IMC is an independent nonpartisan organization committed to excellence in journalism and serving the Middle Eastern-American community and the community at large.


Mission:

The IMC works to educate the Middle Eastern-American community about mainstream media, providing vital information about our community to non-Middle Eastern journalists, training youth to become journalists and fostering positive coverage of our community.


Vision:

The IMC will be recognized as a premier source of information, bridging the gaps between Middle Eastern Americans and the rest of the country and helping create media leaders to serve the community and the country.


Goals:
